FAQs

How easy is it to assemble the Vasa Swim Ergometer?

The Vasa SwimErg requires very little assembly.  Most of the difficult parts are already put together for you. The Assembly instructions are clearly illustrated and all necessary tools are included. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for assembly.

If you need help, please call Vasa’s customer service and technical support at 1.802.872.7101 M-F, 9 am-5 pm Eastern Time. Or contact us here.

How much space is needed for using the Vasa SwimErg?

The Swim Ergometers are 8’ 6” long x 28” wide. We recommend a usage space of 10’ long by 4’ wide to allow the full range of motion in every direction.

NOTE: we offer the SpaceSaver SwimErg as a compact, fully functional training solution for those with space limitations. When paired with our portable Sport Bench, this combination requires far less space and offers outstanding versatility and value.

How do I adjust resistance on the Vasa Ergometer?

There are three ways to adjust the resistance:

  1. Damper Door: Seven settings regulate airflow resistance. Setting Number 1 is when the damper door is fully closed, providing the least resistance. It feels like swimming with a current or paddling downstream. Setting Number 7, with the door fully open, provides the most resistance. It feels like swimming against a strong current or swimming upstream.
  2. Flywheel: The variable airflow resistance feels like pulling through the water when swimming – the harder & faster you pull, the more resistance you will feel.
  3. Trainer Strap System add-on: This useful accessory transforms the SwimErg to be used like a Vasa Trainer to perform many swim-specific strength exercises. It comes with two adjustable-length webbing straps and three power cords for resistance.

Is the Vasa SwimErg safe for people of all ages/abilities?

The Vasa Swim Ergometer is simple to use, sturdy in construction, and completely safe for people of all ages and abilities. It is easy to determine a safe operating resistance. If your children safely play on a jungle gym or other playground equipment, they’ll enjoy the Vasa Ergometer safely with adult supervision.

Vasa SwimErg or Vasa Trainer Pro: Which model is best for me?

Both machines, the Vasa Swim Ergometer and the Vasa Trainer Pro will help you become a stronger, better, and more powerful swimmer. They just work in different ways.  The SwimErg has a great Power Meter to guide and motivate you with data.  You will accomplish more in less time, thanks to the high-quality training they provide. If you want to see a side-by-side comparison of how each ranks by training benefit, review our Model Comparison Chart.

What exercises can I do on the Vasa Swim Ergometer?

In addition to the primary sports-specific training, you can perform various exercises using the SwimErg. Many functional training exercises can strengthen the abdominals, arms, back, chest, shoulders, and legs. Each exercise can be performed at a resistance setting appropriate for your specific need, whether strength, power, speed, endurance, rehabilitation, or flexibility. You’ll want to use the Exercise Handles to perform most functional exercises.

Adding the Trainer Strap System (add-on accessory) greatly increases the number of swim-specific and functional strength exercises possible.

How can I get hip roll & body rotation for Freestyle?

The hip roll and body rotation on the SwimErg bench can be done by engaging the core abdominal and torso muscles to transfer that energy into the pulling arm from the catch to the finish of the stroke. While the body will not roll as much as in the water, you can activate the right muscles and timing to increase pulling power significantly.

The padded bench on Vasa Swim Ergometer (and Vasa Trainer Pro) allows the swimmer to activate and strengthen the core muscles used in hip rotation while performing Freestyle exercises. This is accomplished by simultaneously driving one hip down into the padded bench just at “the catch” of the opposite arm. When the swimmer uses proper stroke technique, hip rotation on the bench activates the core torso muscles to provide better conditioning. The difference between swimming Freestyle on the bench with and without hip rotation is quite noticeable. Swimmers can also place a rolled-up beach towel or soft yoga mat lengthwise on the padded bench to create slight destabilization and greater activation of core muscles when swimming Freestyle on the Vasa.

Can I do Vasa SwimErg workouts to substitute pool workouts?

It’s easy to simulate typical pool workouts using the Vasa Swimming Ergometer. Many swimmers and coaches use it for intervals, timed sets, or long aerobic workouts. The Vasa SwimErg allows you to do swim-specific aerobic or strength sessions effectively, on your schedule, in the comfort of your home or club. The gains made from SwimErg training are easily transferred to the water.

In this video, Masters Swimmer and coach Karlyn Pipes explains how to use the Vasa SwimErg as a supplement or substitute to pool and open water swimming:

The Vasa SwimErg is designed to be used and stored in relatively dry areas with low humidity and good air quality. Because of its electronics, we do not recommend using or storing it for long periods of time in environments with high levels of chlorine, humidity, or ocean air. If used on pool decks, we strongly recommend placing it on a dry floor mat and storing it in a dry area with low humidity and low chlorine levels.

How much maintenance is required?

Regular maintenance of your Vasa Ergometer is an important component of years of enjoyable, functional, and safe use. Maintenance requirements will vary considerably depending on how much use your Vasa Ergometer gets. Please read the guidelines carefully, as these recommendations are made to help you maintain your Vasa Ergometer most effectively.

SwimErg

“An incredible tool that’s helped me address technique faults I’ve had for years by enabling me to isolate movements. So good!”

Joe Maloy

“The SwimErg has helped make my swim training more targeted and time-efficient. As a triathlete, I’m already time-crunched with 2 other sports and a job and family. The Vasa SwimErg allows me to work speed, strength, and technique from the (relative!) comfort of my home.”

Lisbeth Kenyon

Multiple IronMan Age-Group Champion

“Time is my ultimate quandary so I consider the Vasa SwimErg a must-have tool. In my experience, it correlates well with water swimming so I substitute 2 of my 4 swims with the SwimErg. It’s easier than water to focus on perfect form….swim-specific strength that translates directly to the pool even for yardage minimalists like me.”

Got the vasa swim erg in Nov 2022. I have been using it 2-3 times per week at 20 or 40 min intervals doing 1000 or 2000 ish yards depending on time. I use TrainerDay to track my metrics. Only wish it synced with garmin. I had not been in the pool until middle May 2023 and while my time was slightly slower than on the erg, I was able to bust out 1800 in less than 40 minutes and felt strong all the way. My erg has kept me in good shape and offers a very convenient alternative to getting to the pool.

The VASA Swim erg is a fantastic machine for swimmers and tri-athletes, only surpassed by their exceptional customer service! The machines are very high quality, so chances are you won’t need to use their post-sale service, but if you do, know they are second to none! Very pleased customer, dad to 3 swimmers 🙂

For the last few years, I have done 99.5% of my Ironman swim training on my SwimErg. With pool training, my Ironman swim was around 1 hour 18 minutes and with the SwimErg my Ironman swim is around 1 hour and 20 minutes. I happily give up 2 minutes over a 11-13 hour race to save a ton of time and money traveling to and using over-chlorinated public pools.

I like to play like I am swimming. Not a swimmer and never will be. I use the Vasa Erg exclusively so I don’t have to get wet. It has allowed me to keep my slow 1:50 pace with 1 or 2 x 30 min “swims” on the Vasa a week. Do I recommend it? yes!

I am a triathlete and swimming is my slowest element of triathlon. I had my best, fastest Ironman 70.3 race last year out of 48 races of that length over the last 17 years. I was faster in my swim this past year. I have had my Vasa Ergometer for several years and it has improved my endurance.

I got my VASA during COVID when pools were shut down. I swam 1500m a day on it. Once pools opened back up I discovered I had improved in the water! I now continue to use the machine to build strength and during days where I may be too sore to use legs in the pool. This machine has made me a better swimmer! I hate getting in the water now and prefer to train on my VASA.

I have had my Vasa Erg for over 10 years. It has allowed me to train for and complete 5 Ironmans and 12 Halfs. I am not a swimmer, I did not learn to swim until my late 30’s, and it is not my favourite part of a triathlon. I also have limited training time in a week and poor access to a pool. Usually a pool session takes 2.5 hours when I include a 30-40 minute drive each way! No one thinks twice about throwing down a bike workout on their trainer, or a run workout on a treadmill. I view the Vasa the same way, basically a necessity! For my last Ironman I used the Vasa for all my swim training, then did about 3 open water sessions to get used to the wetsuit again. Surprisingly, my swim time was the same as my previous 2 Ironmans, but, I was able to focus more on my bike and run with the time I saved and this allowed me to post my best Ironman time by over 40 minutes!! I am pretty happy with that. I will continue to use my Vasa for swim training as it is so convenient. I have also started to use it for some kayak training for adventure racing. Fantastic! Love the Vasa Erg!

I love my swim Erg. I recently upgraded the screen to their newest one in November 2022 and it’s been a great upgrade to use it with Trainerroad or TrainerDay for structured workouts. Using this machine HS helped me balance out the left side of my stroke greatly and has developed the specific strength and muscles for a much more powerful and efficient stroke. I have also found that my fatigue in Ironman distance swims has dropped significantly so I come out of the water feeling good. I highly recommend this to any level of swimmer and especially to those newer to the sport or struggling with their swim. Plus the owners and employees are great people too and care about your experience with the product.

I am a 62 year old male that uses the Vasa to maintain surf fitness. In 15 mins, 3X week, I can maintain a baseline level of explosive paddle functionality that allows me to avoid being a total kook every time I go back in the water. At my age you need every advantage (and liter of volume) if you hope to keep catching waves. It’s the older surfers’ cheat code.

Use it every morning 2k. Would like to see something designed for head rest so I don’t have to hold my head up. Something similar to massage table might work that can attach to rail or bench. I own two swim ergs and one trainer pro. Travel with my swim erg on summer vacations.

I LOVE my Vasa SwimErg. It has been a game changer for my surf paddling. I am catching significantly more waves, many of which I would have missed in the past. I am also able to stay out in the water longer than in the past as the SwimErg training has raised my endurance and power levels. Highly recommended!!!

I’ve been using the vasa ergometer for 20 years and I train daily on this machine. It is allowed me to do triathlons and do well with the swim portion.

I do use an exercise ball instead of the bench to provide core strength and more realistic frel in the water, along with ankle weights…

I would not want to be without the trainer for overall conditioning.

I have had my Vasa ergometer for a long time, the meter has broken off, wires are old, rubbers have dried up but, it still works, I use it to crosstrain for outrigger paddling and standup surfing. Totally helps with conditioning. Can also do core work. Great longtime investment

Disclaimer – I was a client before becoming a VASA coach! Was happily using our Trainer to assist swim lessons since 2006. Vasa contacted me when they saw my work in the 220Tri magazine. Before we even hit the water in a lesson it was so useful to work through the mechanics of the stroke on dryland. A few years later the Erg came along and as my own time in the water was reduced (work and family) I increased my training on the Erg to help my masters racing career to great success – National Masters Champ, Euro and World Medallist, Lake Geneva crossing etc

Serious results for impressive performance! The VasaErg allows for building swim-specific power like no other piece of equipment available. Easy to set up, easy to use, and very easy to go harder than is possible in the water! The Vasa helps build technique as well, as it rewards good stroke technique with instantaneous power readings for VasaErgs equipped with power meters.

I upgraded my swim bench to the ERG at the beginning of the Covid quarantine. My kids were out of the water for 3.5 months and they used the VASA to stay fit. Training is a growth process, and I believe the ERG contributed to time drops as they returned to competition.

Bought the SwimErg in November 2020 and loved it immediately. It helped me improve my swimming tremendously. Unfortunately the day before the ITU world championships on 12 September I fell of my bike and broke my left elbow and clavicle. The elbow ‘Zuggertung’ procedure takes a long time to recover from. After maybe five weeks I decided to try if I could get back on the Erg. Of course at first it was a painful and humiliating experience. When level 1 is difficult you know you are in trouble. But slowly I got my left arm going again and I was able to extend my elbow better and better. My doctor was amazed with the progress I made. Am now on level 2 and slowly feel my atrophied left arm coming back alive. So thank you Vasa.

Awesome training tool! I’ve been using the vasa a little over a year now for swim training. I used to swim 16-20k meters a week in a pool and now ONLY use the vasa for training. My swim time for an ironman has remained the same (it actually decreased by a few seconds) and I no longer have to waste time driving to the pool! The vasa has given me a lot of time back and kept me in relatively good form (it takes be 60 minutes to do a 2.4 mile swim).

  24. einciarte@gmail.com'

I am an adult-onset beginner swimmer trying to improve my technique. I have taken swimming lessons, but I have been frustrated by the lack of improvement. Searching the web I found about Vasa and I bought the Swimerg after feeling frustrated at not knowing how to improve my swimming. I started the 3-Week Introductory Swim Training Plan for the Vasa SwimErg and after seeing how quickly I started to improve motivated me to create the vasa workouts in Trainerroad and now I’m doing them for the second time. I haven’t really worried about how much faster I am swimming, but last week I had the opportunity to swim for the first time after the pandemic at Barton Springs Pool (ATX), and I could feel I was swimming with less effort. My improvement so far is being able to use correct hand placement and stroke path using a high elbow catch and acceleration of the pull, I am not crossing my arms on the center line anymore. Later I’ll focus on speed. BTW so far I used the Vasa Trainer Pro for two months and then started to use the Vasa SwimErg ANT+ for the last 5 weeks working on technique. I highly recommend both after my early experience.

After six months of training using the Vasa SwimErg and having no access to a pool or open water, I managed a 5k open water swim with zero trouble. Vasa SwimErg let’s me focus on proper muscle engagement as I don’t have to deal with the natural flight-or-fight response that the primitive human brain has to being in the water. It properly correlates the resistance through each phase of the pull which is something resistance bands cannot do.

The SwimErg is our go-to piece of equipment for all of our swimmers! As a coach, I cannot get in the water as much as I would like, so I can be found on deck using the Swim Erg. It is also a great teaching tool for Masters swimmers who have an issue with form and techniques, especially when they drop their elbows. We use this as a supplement and warm up before we jump in the water. The USA swimmers use it often when they are injured or have swimmers ear and cannot get in the water. they also use it as a teaching tool.

Great training system! I began using the Swim-erg with the VASA 3-week introductory swim program and felt my lats muscle engagement/activation is greater on the erg than when in the pool. When the pools opened up again, I was gliding through the water with a greater distance per stroke and improved an average of 4 seconds per hundred yards during my easy swim pace.

Purchased my Erg trainer in February wanting to supplement my pool training to improve my performances in USMS meets never realizing that in a month my pool would be closing due to the pandemic. I use it 7 days a week and have seen the incredible impact it has made on my performance once I was back in the water. Pool time is limited to 45 min, 5 days a week so I’m still doing my 7 Vasa sessions each week. Since March I’ve dropped 25Lbs and added more muscle mass returning me back to and better than my previous fitness level 8 years ago before my serious spine surgery had changed my life. I can’t wait to race again. I can’t thank Rob and his company enough for helping with my comeback.

The Vasa SwimErg is hands down a GAME CHANGER!! As a runner-turned triathlete, I’ve always been a “leg athlete” and lacked the upper body strength necessary for swimming powerful and fast. All the time I spent training in the water never quite got my upper body strength up to the level I needed to make real gains in my swim speed. Ever since I incorporated the Vasa SwimErg into my training, I’ve been consistently setting personal records in my swim times. The power meter allows me to perform functional threshold power tests at the beginning of my season to assess my current strength and build workouts based off power designed to increase my strength. Total game changer!!

As a father with two young and active children I’ve had to change how I fit in the training needed for my own endurance pursuits. For triathlon, but even more so for swimrun (where athletes use paddles and swim in their shoes), building a powerful pull stroke is vital for race day success. I enjoy swimming in the pool as much as anyone, but outside of the pool, I haven’t found a tool as helpful as VASA in building power in the pull phase of the stroke.

For triathlon coaching we simplify things to the bare minimum to allow the athlete to focus on simple movement patterns and for swimming the Vasa SwimErg does this perfectly. Being linear and providing variable resistance with instant physical and data feedback it allows the swimmer to focus on the simple movement patterns we prescribe while developing fitness and strength.

The Vasa SwimErg with the bench and support beam allow the user to be positioned centrally, in a good horizontal position and to assess their movements with ease. Watching what the hands and arms are doing at the various stages of the “underwater” phase as well as being able to see the display (showing time, distance, stroke rate, etc), allows the special awareness and movement co-ordination that is very often impossible in the water. The ability to adjust the fan to allows us to prescribe essentially the same kind of sessions we would in pool sessions with both aerobic and strength-based sets, reps and rest periods.

Vasa SwimErg works on catch, swim strength, proper positioning, and pulling with the right muscles. I have such a busy life, it takes one hour of travel to get to the pool. The Vasa provides instant feedback without going to the pool. I am super happy with the ANT+ Power Meter as it allows me to quantify every workout and track evolution in TrainingPeaks.

We are very happy with the swim ergometers – not only do they offer exceptional performance; they also have design elements and functionality that are excellent. We are currently using them for dryland training and conducting physiology research using hypoxic conditions in our altitude chamber.

The Ergometer is an incredible device, topped only by the customer service representatives who help service and educate users on it. The team that I coach has used both the Ergometer and the Vasa Trainer as a critical component of its training regimen and we have had exceptional results as a result.

I was a polio victim and test subject in germ warfare testing as a baby and toddler. To beat the after effects of those tests I have had to train all my life, both in the pool and in the gym. I have had few breaks in my training, so what I write is based on many decades of experience (I started swimming in 1954). I was a competitive swimmer ((“school standard”), a professional lifeguard on Sydney’s Bondi Beach, and (briefly) a top ranked Masters swimmer in Australia for the 200m F/S.

I Own both a Vasa Erg (since 2013) and a Trainer (since the past 2016/17 summer (Southern Hemisphere).

As a swimmer, I love the Erg. I feel like I am really “swimming” on it — to the point that when I do get into the pool (not very often these days), my mind goes “How would I ‘swim this’ on the Erg?” The simulation of the upper body movements is good enough for my mind to “reverse” things that way.

As all four of “polio victim”, “gym junkie”, wanna-be power-lifter and swimmer, I love the Trainer. I have been in the gym since 1966, and on the weights since 1965 — and I rate the VASA Trainer as one of the most versatile, maybe THE most versatile pieces of equipment I have used.

I use weights, Swim Cords, my TRX and the Erg and Trainer. I like them all — and each is unique. The simulation provided by the Erg and by the Trainer is different from the Swim Cords and TRX. In other words, it is worth it to me to have the VASA gear as well as the weights, cords, TRX etc.

After years in the gym, you learn or can tell when something is working for you, even before you can prove it with results. My reaction to the Trainer went “that way”. I could tell it was “working” for me within two weeks of getting it. Maybe the benefits are more specific to me because I suffered so much nerve damage as a toddler — but I found that I was able to fine tune the work I was doing on the Trainer very easily, and do it better than any Lat Machine, Chinning Machine or Pulleys/Cable Crossover Machine I have used.

The staff and customer service are great. And the quality is superb — remember the good old days when “Made in The USA” meant something was well made — well it still happens at VASA.

Great products, great company, great people, great service!

This is a good tool for building swim muscle strength. It has not made me a faster swimmer, but it has helped to condition my muscles. Hopefully, the speed will come with more Vasa and pool workouts.

A great tool to get a quick and focused swim workout in a much more time efficient manner. While it is not a replacement for pool work, it has greatly helped my swim by allowing me to get a solid and very swim-specific workout when going to the pool is not feasible. A great product!

Now that I’m a masters swimmer, I’m okay with not doing too much volume in the pool, but I do like to mix up my training and the Vasa Ergometer is an excellent addition to my training program. I’ve had it for about five years and I use it regularly. I usually either use the Vasa as a separate workout or as part of a land training workout, where I’ll do a few sets at a short interval with high cadence and high resistance. And now that my kids are swimming, they’ve started using it as well. My Vasa is the best piece of equipment that I have in my home gym and it’s one of the reasons why I still get so much enjoyment out of swimming and training.

My secret weapon to getting swim workout done in an expedient fashion. Very focused. It is a great tool to be able to see your stroke out of the water so you can work on it.

I purchased the Vasa Erg in May 2016 so that I could gain more swimming practice time without the nuisance of the drive to and from a pool, pool availability, and pool costs as the majority of my real swim time is in a lake. I did not realize how poor and inefficient my form was until I set a camera on a tripod, videoed myself and then reviewed the video. The Vasa has been invaluable with correcting my form. I am now able to achieve a nice high elbow throughout the pull and do that consistently, which I did not do before. My actual swims have become easier as I am using much better form, so that I can do harder and longer workouts. My form correction is a direct result of using the Vasa SwimErg in conjunction with a video, especially since there is no video distortion due to seeing through water and the video is always at the same position relative to me.

This is a great piece of equipment, I use it frequently for usually short training sessions when I can’t find the time to get to the pool. I’m a shift worker and sometimes it seems impossible to get to the pool for many days, so the Vasa Ergometer is an excellent way for me to get some much-needed training in when normally I would have just missed out. My swimming has improved beyond anything I could have ever hoped for. I love the Vasa and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to become a stronger swimmer.

Improved my open water performance in one season from 1:05 h to 59:30 min. Working with ergometer was hard initially. Then I focused on technique and did frequent but rather short training sessions (3-5 times a week 20 mins).

I use mine primarily to get in paddling shape for surf trips. Aside from Waikiki style small wave long boarding intermediate and advanced surfing is about 90% paddling fitness. As a now landlocked Washington State surfer who travels to fairly heavy spots a few times a year I have found the erg to be indispensable for preparation. This is after years of trying various gym exercises, time in the pool etc.

I purchased my VASA ERG almost 2 years ago. It is undeniably the single best piece training equipment I have purchased. I use the ERG every other day to supplement my swims. My endurance and strength – and subsequently my speed improved greatly. I also have two junior swimmers. I started my 10yr old on it last year and she mad JO ( state level gold times ) at 9! It’s a family affair and my 6yr old is already trying to get in on the training!

The machine is so versatile. I can train for SUP, Kayaking and free, breast and fly.

I tell all my buddies it’s the single best thing they can own.

Lastly – I am 50. I am back to college weight. 5’11 165 lbs and 42-inch chest…eat right, follow a game plan and use the ERG…

The Vasa Swim Ergometer is a versatile piece of equipment you should consider to have in your locker.

I’m a triathlete & earlier this year injured my knee. My injury was to the extent that I could only walk. Running, swimming & biking were out of the question. However, the Vasa trainer came into its own during this
period. I was able to continue (dry-land) swim-training to maintain a reasonable level of cardio-vascular fitness. In fact, my swimming improved when I returned to the pool!

I’m more than happy to recommend it as a product. it gives you flexibility when getting to the pool is difficult, certainly, it provides a workout as intense as any session and online videos teach you good form which also prove useful for the pool.

So when that early morning rush to the pool doesn’t quite seem on..you relax and think there’s the Vasa!

One of my frustrations with swimming are the large administrative costs for me to get to a pool. I generally have to get my workouts in before 7am, so maximizing this time is essential. I don’t mind swimming laps, I just have trouble justifying all of the lost time commuting to and from, pool hours limitations etc. Enter VASA. I decided to try and leverage the time savings the Vasa Erg offers with a goal of improving swim times, but also spending more time running and biking. Unfortunately, there is a paucity of swim coaches who would embrace and help guide my “swimming without getting wet” approach. Swim coaches’ general knee-jerk response to the question – “how do I swim better” is “swim more”. I found coach Eric Neilsen at TSRF and reached out to him to provide guidance on how to best utilize my time on the Vasa. He is not only a gifted swim coach, he is a Vasa advocate and experienced user. He was very accommodating and supportive of my situation, and I feel the workouts that he provided and the training build he designed were really productive. Because there are metrics associated with a Vasa, I could see my power and pace improving. I knew and could feel I was stronger. I proved that in a few of my rare pool workouts, as well as in setting swim leg PR’s in several triathlons leading up to IMMT ’15 and IMWI ’16. I am very pleased with my swim times in races relative to my build, and plan to continue to primarily use a Vasa as my primary swim training accessory.

Being a coach and athlete, I am always looking for ways to maximize training time. The Vasa Erg does just that! You can play with applying different amounts of force, at different phases of your stroke (both swimming and kayaking) to find what is optimal for you in generating max power. Then with continued refinement of your biomechanics, you can determine your maximum sustained power for a given distance or time.

Many triathletes would like to improve their swimming, but extra time in the pool usually comes at the expense of cycling or run training time. I have found that as little as two to three 15-minute sessions per week on the Vasa Swim Erg can yield incredible results. The Swim Erg is to swimming what the CompuTrainer has done for cycling.

This past year the team lost considerable water time so we added more Vasa Trainer & Ergometer training and we had our best year ever. I have no doubt the Vasa’s were a big reason why.

Todd and I have been using the Vasa Ergometer for a year now and we use it as both a supplement and substitute for the pool as well as for general conditioning. It has been a huge time saver for us as we both work and have 3 kids with their different activities to add to the mix. We have gotten stronger and have the confidence that even if we skip the pool we are still able to get a functional swim.

The most revolutionary aspect of the Vasa Ergometer is its ability to simulate the demands of paddling a surfboard and swimming. I use it myself and with all my clients to improve aerobic conditioning and more specifically as a part of our surfer and triathlete fitness programs to increase speed and power. Simply put: There isn’t a better product that addresses the sport-specific needs of swimmers and surfers so efficiently and effectively.
